Ans: A boat floats on the water because water gives a vertical force to the boat.

Ans:Kites fly in the air because air has force.

Ans:We know that we have applied force because we could see the effect.

Q6. Why do objects thrown in the air fall to the ground?

Ans:Due to the special force called gravity that the Earth possesses.

Ans: We need energy to do work.

Q8. Adi is playing a game of carrom. How can Adi use force to reach the coin to the pocket?

Ans; Adi will push the  stricker towards the coin , which in turn will be pushed in the pocket.

Eg.Brakes applied in a moving cycle can slow down or stop completely.

Eg.A small dough can make a big chappati by applying force.

Ans: It moves from one place to the other.

Ans:It stops.
