Ans:We know that we have applied force because we could see the effect.

Ans:Due to the special force called gravity that the Earth possesses.

Ans: We need energy to do work.

Ans; Adi will push the  stricker towards the coin , which in turn will be pushed in the pocket.

Q9.Differentiate between a push and pull.

Ans:

	Push	Pull
1.	When we apply force to move the object far from us then that force is known as push.	1.When force is applied to bring the object near us then that force is called pull.
2.	Eg.Moving table from one place to another.	2.Eg.Opening a lunch box

Q10.Explain the effect of force.

Ans:

	Effect of force	Examples
1.	Force can increase the speed of an object.	Eg.Pedalling a bicycle can increase its speed .
2.	It can change direction of the object.	Eg. A bat hitting a ball can change its direction.
3.	It can slow down or stop the motion.	Eg.Brakes applied in a moving cycle can slow down or stop completely.
4.	It can change the shape of an object.	Eg.A small dough can make a big chappati by applying force.

Q11. What happens to the pile of books when we push it?

Ans: It moves from one place to the other.

Q12. What happens to the moving toy car when you hold it with your hand?

Ans:It stops.
